Since 1983 Jed Doherty has challenged over one million young people and adults to live the way Jesus teaches us to live: to love others, to take action in response to suffering wherever we see it and to work to make everyone feel welcome and included. In other words, Jedlie challenges audiences to “ROAR For Jesus!!!” In his on stage role as Jedlie, Doherty uses the Gospel, positive reinforcement, storytelling, original music, comedy, magic tricks and illusions to help audiences connect with each other and get excited to ROAR for Jesus!!!

One of the highlights of the show is a hilarious retelling of the story of the Good Samaritan. In addition to bringing lots of smiles, Jedlie uses the story to help students understand that there will be many times in their lives when they will be called on to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to be the one who gets down on bended knee to help and serve others

“ROAR For Jesus!!!” was created by Jed Doherty and his wife Sonia Guerrios-Doherty, M Ed. Doherty is a former licensed, certified social and certified catechist. Guerrios-Doherty is a veteran special needs teacher in the Boston Public Schools and a former member of the Board of Education for the Archdiocese of Boston.
